The following events are scheduled for World Food Day commemoration in Trinidad and Tobago.

• 17th October - Commence distribution of WFD stickers to students, staff of the Ministry of Agriculture and members of the public. Radio schools broadcast of the WFD message to primary schools and other listeners.
• 17th -18th October - WFD farmers’ competition and exhibition in the Dwight Yorke stadium, Tobago.
• 19th October - Farmers’ Fair at the Ministry’s Head Office to emphasize the aspects of ‘right to food’ by growing, choosing, preserving and preparing. There will also be participation by various supporting agencies as the Agriculture Development Bank, Trinidad and Tobago Agriculture Business Association and the National Agricultural Marketing Development Corporation.

Events will continue throughout the year with 4Hers calypso and carnival band competition, the Agricultural Society exhibition, participation in World consumer rights activities and the Ministry of Social Development’s Environmental back yard garden and Village Chat competitions.
