The Regional Conference is the FAO maximum regional forum, which gathers every two years the Ministers of Agriculture of the 33 member countries in the Region and where activities carried out are reviewed and recommendations and suggestions are formulated both for FAO and for the governments. This is a forum of major importance which permits discussing, at the highest level, problems and orientations linked to the development of agriculture, livestock, forestry and fisheries sectors, and to follow up agreements adopted in previous Conferences.
