Plant Protection

Its mission is to promote the development of sustainable systems of crop production, creating conditions that promote safe food and economic development, while conserving natural resources.
FAO’s plant protection service provides neutral fora for the discussion of common goals and activities among countries and across sectors. The areas of work include pesticide management and risk reduction, international standards for phytosanitary measures and transboundry pest management.
